Tārāvana Newsletter
We regularly send out the Tārāvana newsletter once or twice a month to inform you about new courses, projects and interesting topics. We use your e-mail address for this, which you can send us using the form. After registering, you will first receive an email to verify the email address you provided. Getting Here
By Air:
The nearest airport is Cologne/Bonn Airport. From there, it takes about one hour to reach Au (Sieg) by public transportation. There is a direct train connection on the S19 toward Au (Sieg).
Düsseldorf Airport is also within the region. The travel time from Düsseldorf Airport to Au (Sieg) is approximately 1½ hours. From there, it is best to take an ICE or S-Bahn to Cologne Central Station, then continue to Au (Sieg) as described below.
Frankfurt Airport is another convenient option. The journey from Frankfurt Airport to Au (Sieg) takes around 2 hours. From Frankfurt, take an ICE to Siegburg/Bonn or Cologne, and then continue to Au (Sieg) as described below.
By Public Transportation:
From Cologne Central Station, Cologne Messe/Deutz, Siegburg/Bonn, or Cologne/Bonn Airport, take one of the following regional trains:
- S12 or S19 toward Au (Sieg) to Rosbach (Sieg), then continue by bus
- S12, S19, RE9, or RSX toward Siegen to Au (Sieg), then continue by taxi.
From Rosbach
In Rosbach, take bus line 544 to Halscheid (our village). From the bus stop, it is approximately 500 meters on foot.
Please note that Rosbach is only served by the S12 and S19 regional trains. The RE9 and Rhein-Sieg-Express (RSX) do not stop there. The bus stop is located directly next to the station. You can find the bus timetable here.
Important Note
On Sundays and public holidays, the regular bus service is replaced by a TaxiBus, which must be booked by telephone at least one hour before departure:

Departure times from Rosbach correspond to the regular bus timetable. The TaxiBus fare is no higher than the standard bus ticket price.
Ticket Tip: If you purchase a VRS ticket at price level 5 in Cologne or Siegburg/Bonn, the bus journey is already included. This ticket costs no more than a one-way train ticket to Rosbach.
Planning Tip: Like everywhere in Germany, public transportation and other public services can occasionally be unreliable due to delays, cancellations, or strikes. We therefore recommend allowing a little extra travel time when planning your journey.
By Taxi
If you plan to continue your travel by taxi, we recommend going to Au (Sieg), which is the closest train station to us. All trains (S12, S19, RE9, and RSX) stop there. Please note that there are no buses from Au (Sieg) to Halscheid.

From Au to Halscheid it'll cost about 25 Euros. We recommend booking your taxi before starting your journey, or at the latest during your train ride, to avoid possible waiting times at the station.
